It comes down to who decides "does this add to or advance the thread in a constructive way." Most people think their thread meets the criteria. That decision ultimately resides with the forum mods.

Normally, I would agree with this...but this is the off topic. Like I said before, at what point does off topic get reverted back to on topic and who's to tell someone else that what they say is not as relevent as the next person? It seems it really all comes down to what YOU want to talk about.

If someone brings up Poke'mon games then a lot of people are like "OOHH! OMG! LETZ TALKBOUT DA POKAMANZ!". But if someone brings up, lets say a conversation about genital warts, then someone would be like "omg.howimmature.pervert.youdontderserve.to.be.here .kthx.bai". Are they both off topic? Is one more offtopic then the other? It seems to only be only the people that have been on these forums get to sway the opinion of the crowd. The popular vote counts.

If there aren't hidden rules, and I have to follow on the same topic as everyone else then:

1.) Change the name to ON TOPIC
&
2.) Take off the word "Absurd" in the forum title. (the definition of which is: Ridiculously incongruous or unreasonable.)

I concur with you good sir. If it's not deleted then it has not been deemed spam by the mods. But since this is the Off-Topic thread the mods are very very VERY lax about what they delete. I have seen people get away with just this

Yes both are Off-topic BUT they are pertaining to a clearly stated subject.

But meh, over and done with time to move on. So I am seeing Def Maybe tonight with my gf. I hope it's at least decent so I don't get bored out of my mind.

all i asked was if anyone lived in Vegas..and you made rude comments about it. just trying to create a social network, arse. maybe ill make a whole other thread for it? i didnt say anything close to "Yeah me too!" or "lol!" it was a legit question. so erm.. keep your snide comments to yourself oh mighty God of Spammers. or learn to measure the revelancy of someones comments more accurately.
